Skewers of marinated meats called sates are a popular street food in Indonesia. Mirin is a sweet,low-alcahol rice wine found in the asian food section of market.

  • PORK:
  • 2tsp.grated lime rind
  • 2Tbs fresh lime juice
  • 1Tbs peanut butter
  • 2tsp sugar
  • 2tsp fish sauce
  • 1/2tsp curry powder
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • 1/4tsp ground coriander
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1lb. pork tenderloin,trimmed and cut into 16(4" long) strips
  • SAUCE:
  • 11/2Tbs sugar
  • 1Tbs chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2Tbs seasoned rice vinegar
  • 2Tbs fresh lime juice
  • 2Tbs mirin(sweet rice wine)1tsp fish sauce
  • 1 serrano chile,seeded and finely chopped
  • 1Tbs dry-roasted peanuts,chopped

Directions
  1. Prepare grill to med-high
  2. To prepare pork,combine first 9 ingredients in a med. bowl,stirring till smooth. Add pork to bowl;toss well to coat. Let stand at room temp. 15 mins.
  3. To prepare sauce,combine 11/2Tbs sugar with next 6 ingredients(through chile) stirring with a whisk.Stir in peanuts.
  4. Thread 2 pork pieces lengthwise onto each of 8(12" )skewers. Place skewers on a grill rack coated with cooking spray;grill 3 mins on each side or until done. Serve with sauce
