Onions can't really get any sweeter or better than this. Served over seared albacore tuna makes this just puuuurfect

Ingredients
- 4 oz. butter
- 12 oz. maui onions, sliced thinly lengthwise
- Kosher salt, as needed
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
Directions
- Melt butter in a 1 quart sauce pan.
- Add onions and sweat over low heat
- season the onions with kosher salt and add the sugar
- Cover with a lid and sweat over low heat until extremely tender

I'm not familiar with Maui onions, but after looking them up, I'm assuming I could use another kind of sweet onion. I love sweet onions and I'm sure this is absolutely delicious!
