Belgian Gingerbread Recipe
I have no idea why this gingerbread is "Belgian," but Belgian is what's written on my cook's sheet and Belgian is what I call it.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound cornstarch
  • (yes, that is cornstarch in the USA, cornflour in Europe)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp powdered ginger.

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Mix all ingredients on a floured board.
  3. Shape as desired - but keeping the dough between 1/8 and 1/4 inch thick, bake on a cookie sheet until firm.

Where's the molasses!!! what an outrage, just kidding! this is a very interesting version of gingerbread.
