Mike came home after his father passed away and asked me to make these. I had to email Uncle Pete because Mike said that dad did it a special way. Uncle Pete said "No secret recipe, just the basics."
Ingredients
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 6 slices of sourdough bread shopping list
- butter shopping list
How to make it
- Butter a skillet
- dig a hole in the sourdough bread, butter one side and lay it, butter side down on the skillet, crack an egg into the hole. Repeat with all the eggs and bread.
- Gently flip when bread is toasty brown, and toast the other side.
- Serve as is or with sausage patties or bacon striips
