  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 TBS parsely
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/4 cup lard
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup beef stock
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions
  1. Lightly mix together the veal, milk, bread crumbs, chopped onion, parsely and the egg and form into 2 in balls and set aside. Heat the lard on medium flame in a 10 in skillet and add meatballs turning occasionally to brown. Remove with slotted spoon and set aside. Add mushrooms to the pan and stir for around 3 minutes and add the meatballs back to the pan along with the beef stock, cover and simmer around 30 minutes. Drain the pan juices in a bowl and whisk in the paprika and allow to cool. In a double boiler add sour cream and start spooning in the reserved pan juices until heated through. Add the sauce back to the pan with the meatballs and warm through. Serve with homeade egg noodles.
