How to make it

  • Place beef, Italian dressing (unprepared), banana peppers and water in slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until beef is cooked through and separates with a fork. Remove beef from liquid and reserve. Place beef and cooked peppers and 1/2 c-3/4c of reserved liquid in food processor and blend just until shredded and liquid is absorbed. If you don't have a food processor, shred with fork and add liquid.
  • Butter Hoagie buns lightly and toast in oven under broiler, until bearly brown. Place beef on buns and add cheese, if desired. Serve with homemade potato salad, chips, or some vegie soup!
