This is a delicious way to have a nice cool sandwich and salad all on a bun, with a pickle ta boot!

Ingredients
  • 4 hot dog buns, split
  • prepared mustard
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 c. chopped cucumber
  • 2 TBSP. French salad dressing
  • 8 thin slices of boiled ham (from deli or pre-packaged)
  • (The larger rectangle shape works best)
  • 4 dill pickle strips

Directions
  1. Spread both cut sides of hot dog buns with prepared mustard
  2. In bowl, combine finely chopped lettuce, cucumber and salad dressing.
  3. Use 2 slices of ham for each sandwich.
  4. Spoon 1/4 of the lettuce mixture at one end of the 2 slices of ham.
  5. Top with the pickle strip.
  6. Roll up ham jellyroll style
  7. Secure with tooth picks.
  8. Place on bun.
  9. Repeat with remainder of ingredients,
  10. Makes 4 delicious sandwiches
  11. Make sure your other guests know there are toothpicks in there, we had a "toothpick incident" one time....no one was injured though.....:-)
