Chicken Pot Pie Not Really

- onion chopped shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- flour shopping list
- milk shopping list
- Lightly steam ½ to 1 cup each of diced up carrots and fresh cut green beans shopping list
- Heat about 4 cups of left over mashed potatoes using milk to thin so they will smooth easily. shopping list
- frozen peas shopping list
- 3 cups or so cooked chicken shredded/chopped (works great with any leftover chicken baked, grilled) shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- season salt shopping list
How to make it
- Sautee about half of a chopped Onion in a generous amount of Olive Oil (5-6 tablespoons at least) on medium-medium high heat.
- Add about 4 tablespoons of flour, sprinkle it around and then mix it into onion/oil mixture. Allow to cook for several minutes.
- Add about 2 cups of milk stirring frequently to make the sauce, add more if needed.
- Add salt and pepper to your taste.
- Add partially steamed carrots, green beans and frozen peas and stir.
- Add chicken and stir.
- In a sprayed casserole dish add sauce mixture.
- Spoon on mashed potatoes and smooth out so sauce mixture is completely covered.
- Use a generous sprinkle of Season Salt over mashed potatoes.
- Bake at 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until completely heated through.
