Milkshake Without Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients

2 C. 2% Milk, fat is needed to emulsify the Shake

3/4 C. Sugar (or to taste)

1/4 C. Cocoa

1 tsp Vanilla

2 C. Ice

3 Second Spray of Non Stick Cooking Spray, for the Lecithin OR

1/2 tsp Liquid Lecithin

~~~~~~~For Alternate Flavors~~~~~~~~

* Add 1 TBSP of Instant Coffee for a Mocha Shake

* Add 1 very ripe banana for a Chocolate Banana Shake

* Add a big spoonful of Peanut butter for a decadent Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake.

* Add a few red and white candy mints for a refreshing Chocolate Mint Shake.

* To make Vanilla Milkshakes, omit the Cocoa, Reduce the Sugar to 1/2 C. & Add 1TBSP of Vanilla.

Directions

Put it all into a blender and blend until the ice is all broken and the ingredients are mixed thoroughly. Enjoy!

Yeah, I guess you could make it with less calories if you swap the Sugar for something else. I would use Stevia or Sweet n Low but they would change the flavor a bit b/c they can be bitter if you use too much. If anyone else knows of a good low cal/carb sweetener let me know. Agave Necter or Honey would be some other healthy alternatives to Sugar. Check out SweetPoison.com to see why I don't use Equal or Splenda.
