Green Mango Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 and 1/4 cup sugar

1 teasp. ground cinnamon

1/2 teasp. ground nutmeg

2 Tablesps. all-purpose flour

3 and 1/2 cups peeled, sliced green mango

1 Tablesp. lime juice

Pastry for double-crust 9-inch pie

Directions

Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine first 4 ingredients; add mango & lime juice. Stir well & spoon into pastry shell. Top with second pastry crust, crimp well & cut several slits in top of pastry.Bake at 450 for 10 minutes then lower oven temperature to 350 degrees F. & continue to bake 40 to 45 minutes or until a skewer or knife inserted through one of slits shows the fruit to be completely tender. Cool on pie-rack & serve topped with whipped cream.
