Indopak Green Chutney

- 1/2 fresh coconut; grated (or 1 cup dry, unsweetened coconut) shopping list
- 1 small bunch fresh coriander leaves shopping list
- 6 medium jalapenos; seeded ( or to taste ) shopping list
- 1 marble-sized ball of unsweetened tamarind paste shopping list
- 1-inch piece finely-grated fresh ginger shopping list
- 6 cloves peeled garlic shopping list
- 1/2 teasp. salt ( or to taste ) shopping list
- 1/4 teasp. sugar (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- In blender jar: grind all ingredients together to a fine paste, scraping down sides of jar often & adding a bit of water, if necessary. Store 1 to 2 weeks in refrigerator.I also freeze this in ice-cube trays & once frozen I put cubes in baggies in the freezer. Thaw in micro. & use in any dish you like.
