How to make it

  • Combine first 4 ingredients in a medium bowl; stir in pecans.
  • Let stand 30 minutes.
  • Drain pecans and spread in a single layer in a 13- x9- x2-inch pan.
  • Bake at 250 degrees f for 35 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  • Store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
  • Yield: 2 cups
