How to make it

  • In a large fry pan, saute onion and garlic in butter.
  • In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, cheese, sour cream, green chiles, and dried beef.
  • Cut top off bread loaf, and hollow out center, leaving a 2" shell.
  • Save the removed bread for bread crumbs, croutons, etc.
  • Put mixture in bread center, cover with bread top.
  • Wrap in heavy foil, and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 1 hour at 350*

    Cheryl, this sound really interesting. I have a question - is the cook time for these sandwiches really 2 hours at 350, or could that be a typo??? I would love to try these...thanks!
