We loved this cake when we were kids... mostly because it was called "crazy" I think. My Dad would let us help to make it. Great with vanilla icing or whipped cream.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 and 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup BOILING water
  • salt

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Grease 8x8 square pan.
  3. Put all ingredients in a bowl and beat like crazy!
  4. Bake until knife inserted comes out clean.
