Cherry Bonbon Cookies

- 24 maraschino cherries undrained shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter softened shopping list
- 3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons light cream shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list

- Cherry Glaze: shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter melted shopping list
- 1 cup sifted powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup reserved cherry juice shopping list
- red food coloring shopping list
How to make it
- Drain cherries reserving 1/4 cup juice for glaze then set aside.
- Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.
- Gradually add 3/4 cup powdered sugar beating well.
- Stir in flour and next 3 ingredients then shape into 24 balls.
- Press each ball around a cherry covering completely then place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 for 20 minutes then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and drizzle with cherry glaze.
- To make glaze combine first 3 ingredients then add food coloring.
- Place in small plastic bag and seal.
- To drizzle snip a tiny hole at one corner of bag and gently squeeze bag.
