Ingredients
  • 4 red mullet or snapper
  • scaled, gutted and cleaned
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Marinade
  • 3 tbsp fresh lavender flowers
  • or 15ml dried lavender leaves, coarsely chopped
  • shredded lemon rind
  • 4 chopped spring onions
  • salt & pepper

Directions
  1. place fish in shallow dish
  2. mix marinade ing. and pour over fish
  3. leave to stand in fridge for at least 3 hrs.
  4. bbq on hot grill for 10 - 15 min turning once
  5. baste with olive oil

This sounds delectable! However, I have a gas grill..but I am gonna use this recipe for sure!
Will it work on Salmon?


Not sure about salmon it has a distinct flavour unlike cod or snapper which have a more bland taste which lend better to something strong like rosemary or lavender. I can only suggest to try a small piece in case its awful.
as for cooking indoors or out doors the only difference would be the smokeyness.
