My mother's recipe - perfect comfort food with a big bag of ruffled potato chips. Will keep several days in the fridge, if you have the willpower!

Ingredients
  • 1 tin of clams
  • 250 gram package light cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp grated onion (or equivalent onion powder)
  • 1 tsp finely minced garlic (or equivalent garlic powder)

Directions
  1. soften the cream cheese in the microwave
  2. mix in the sour cream until smooth
  3. add juice from the clams to adjust consistency
  4. season with worcestershire, onion and garlic
  5. drain clams, mince into smaller bits, then mix into dip
  6. refrigerate 2 hours or more, until flavours blend
  7. serve with ruffled potato chips
