Butter Cookies

My mother-in-laws recipe for butter cookies. They are wonderful.Handwritten recipe so not sure of time or how many it makes. Haven't done in a long time.
Ingredients
- 5c flour shopping list
- 11/3c sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1lb. butter or margarine,softened shopping list
- 1Tbs vanilla shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar,add eggs and vanilla. Add salt and baking powder to the flour and gradually add to the creamed mixture. Drop by tsps. onto ungreased baking sheet and bake at 325 for about 10 mins till light tan.
- Note: Keep an eye on them,there was no bake time on recipe but seem to remember about 10 mins.
- Can make an indentation in the middle and add som jam of your choice before baking. Can make sandwich cookies out of them. Put jam of your choice in btween 2 cookies.
- These are rich and delicious!
