How to make it

  • Season chicken with Italian seasoning and garlic salt.
  • Cook chicken and garlic in the olive oil till lightly browned.
  • Stir in mushrooms and green onions and continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Stir in chicken broth and broccoli and bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat to a low simmer and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. stirring occasionally.
  • Mix flour with water until well blended.
  • Pour flour mixture into chicken sauce and continue to cook while stirring until sauce thickens.
  • Slowly add butter,sour cream and whipping cream.
  • Continue to cook over low heat for a few minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package directions, Drain, and add to sauce.
  • Remove from heat, sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese. and serve.

    I joined this site, just to tell you how much I adored this dish...I was looking for the perfect recipe that didn't require too many ingredients (poor college student), and this was simply perfect for me. I did take the liberty of adding some lemon juice and using spaghetti noodles, but still--the sauce was creamy and flavorful. Easy and quick to make. Definitely a keeper :)
