Simple side dish for any occasion. I served mine with a flank steak. :O) I recommend using a hot WOK.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh corn kernals or frozen (I recommend getting the white kernals)
  • 1/2 cup chopped/julienned brussel sprouts
  • 3-4 slices of turkey or regular bacon roughly snipped (using scissors because i’m lazy)
  • 1 scallion chopped (use the white part for cooking and the green for garnish later)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. butter
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2-3 drizzle of olive oil
  • salt + pepper to taste
  • the asian fried red onions

Directions
  1. heat your wok to medium high and put in the oil, butter, garlic , bacon and the white part of the scallion (if you use regular bacon, you don’t need so much butter and oil)
  2. sauteed until aromatic and the bacon is fairly crisp
  3. put in the corn and brussel sprouts and sauteed for about 15min. I like to leave mine a bit longer until the corn start browning a bit. Make sure you season with salt and pepper to taste
  4. When done, put in dish and garnish with the green scallions and fried scallions
