Date Pie With Graham Cracker Crust

A yummy date pie with a delicious graham cracker crust. Great served slightly warm with whipped topping or icecream on top.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup coarse graham cracker crumbs shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 cup chopped dates shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Mix together first six ingredients until well blended.
- Beat egg whites until foamy; add sugar a tablespoon or two at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- Fold first mixture into the whites, blending well.
- Pour into an 8-inch greased pie plate.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes.
- *Delicious with ice cream, whipped topping, or whipped cream.
