Ingredients
  • PATE A CHOUX
  • 4 eggs (room temp)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 c. unsalted butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • FILLING:
  • 1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 1/2 c. cold milk
  • 2 - 3.9 oz pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 - 8 oz. Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1/4 c. chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 c. caramel ice cream topping

Directions
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water and butter to the boil.
  2. Add the flour all at once; stir until a smooth ball forms.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Using electric mixer, add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition until smooth.
  5. Spread into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 -35 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, milk and pudding until smooth.
  9. Spread over the completely cooled puff.
  10. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  11. Spread with the whipped topping; refrigerate until serving time.
  12. Drizzle with the chocolate and caramel toppings.
  13. Sprinkle with nuts if desired.
  14. Store leftovers in the fridge.

That sounds delicious - and so much easier than making individual cream puffs...hope to try this out soon when we have company to help us eat it!
