Zippy Coctail Meat Balls Recipe
An oldie but a goodie. Bite-size coctail meatballs in an unusual sauce. Why not try this one with soy meat balls??? Hey why not?

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 3/4 cup grape jelly

Directions
  1. Mix the meat, egg, salt, pepper and bread crumbs. Shape into coctail-size meatballs.
  2. Brown these in a skillet. Drain the fat.
  3. To the pan add the remaining ingredients and simmer to blend flavors and finish cooking meatballs.
  4. I like to serve these in a heated dish with tootpicks or serving spoon.

Alterations


Hi Deb, I make a very similar recipe - no bread crumbs, 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning, 1 tsp. garlic powder and 3 Tbsp. of grate parmesan to the meat mixture - sauce is the same! Love this!
