Microwave Low-fat Granola Recipe
A quick, simple low-fat granola base just waiting for you to add your own selection of nuts, dried fruit and even chocolate.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups old-fashioned or quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 2-4 T brown sugar
  • 1 T vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c wheat germ (opt)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon or to taste
  • Nuts of your choice
  • Minced dried fruit of your choice
  • Chocolate pieces if desired

Directions
  1. Mix together oatmeal, brown sugar, oil, wheat germ, and cinnamon.
  2. Microwave on "high" for 2 minutes. Stir.
  3. Microwave on "high 1/1/2-2 minutes longer. Cool.
  4. Add desired ingredients, cover and store in airtight container.
