Chicken Tenders With Gouda Gravy Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 boneless skinless chicken tenders (2 per person)
  • 3 tbsp thyme
  • Pepper
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup milk or half-and half
  • 1 ¼ cups Gouda cheese

Directions
  1. Season chicken tenders with thyme, salt, and pepper
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet, add the chicken and cook 3 minutes per side
  3. In a small heavy saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat
  4. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, then whisk in the chicken broth and milk, cook until thicken, 2-3 minutes
  5. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the cheese in a figure-eight motion until melted, about 2 minutes
  6. Serve the chicken topped with the Gouda gravy

Well this looks really intriguing! I love Gouda cheese, and have never cooked with it before...do you usually serve this with rice or noodles? I have all the ingredients in the fridge, so am going to try this one very soon.


If never before imagined possible, two of the most magic things on earth -- gouda and gravy -- come together in this one. Bravo.
