Castle Burger Bites

- BUNS: shopping list
- 1 (11-oz.) can Pillsbury Refrigerated breadsticks shopping list
- FILLING: shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 3 Tbsp. dried minced onion shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. milk shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 lb. lean ground beef shopping list
- ketchup shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- Seperate dough into 12 breadsticks.
- cut each into 4 pieces; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Immediately remove from cookie sheet; place on wire racks.
- Cool 5 minutes or until slightly cooled.
- Split each in half lengthwise, keeping tops and bottoms together to form minature buns.
- Reduce oven temp to 350 degrees.
- Beat egg in medium bowl.
- Add onion, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
- Stir in bread crumbs.
- Add ground beef; mix well.
- Press ground beef mixture into thin layer in bottom of ungreased 13x9-in. pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 14-16 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.
- Cut into 48 rectangles (8 strips crosswise and 6 strips lengthwise).
- Fill buns with minature burgers.
- Place ketchup in small bowl for dipping sauce.
- Serve immediately.
- NOTE: To make Castle Cheeseburger Bites, top hot cooked filling with processed cheese squares.
- Return them to the oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese before cutting and assembling the bites as directed.
