Chocolate Covered Pretzels

I make this with the grandkids every Christmas season! Sometimes we use white chocolate and sometime choc. chocolate, and buy various colored sprinkles or candy crunches to cover this confection-of-sorts. I go to my local shop that sells cake decorating supplies etc. Read more and buy the cellophane papers and the bags of Merckens chocolate that are just perfect for pretzel rods. Tie a bright ribbon at the top of your pretzel wrap and Include in a Xmas basket or special coffee mug . Makes great hostess gifts! Prep and cook times vary. See less
Ingredients
- 1 package pretzel rods shopping list
- 1 lb. Merckens chocolate shopping list
- colorful sprinkles shopping list
- pretzel rod cellophane bags shopping list
- ribbon shopping list
- parchment paper ( to lay pretzels on after dipping) shopping list
How to make it
- Melt chocolate in a glass bowl in microwave for about 30 seconds.
- Stir..
- Microwave 30 seconds again.
- Stir.again.
- Do this until chocolate is melted.
- Dip 2/3 of each pretzel rod into chocolate using a plastic fork with two inner tines broken off...this makes it easier.
- Decorate with sprinkles.
- Lay on parchment paper to dry.
- Once dry, wrap in cellophane and tie with ribbon.
