Creamy Garlic Angel Hair Pasta Recipe
This is a simple pasta dish that can be served as a side or main dish. The creamy garlic flavor complements most chicken and beef main courses and only 20 minutes to prepare!

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 8-oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • Angel hair pasta
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated, divided
  • 2/3 cup boiling water

Directions
  1. In a small mixing bowl beat 1/2 cup soft butter and cream cheese together until well blended. Stir in parsley, basil, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Cook pasta in plenty of boiling water until al dente. Drain and return to pot.
  3. Slowly cook garlic in the second 1/2 cup butter for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add garlic to the cooked pasta and toss together with 2 forks over low heat until very hot.
  5. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup Parmesan, then toss again.
  6. Turn mixture out onto a serving plate and keep hot.
  7. Add boiling water to cream cheese mixture and blend well.
  8. Pour over pasta and sprinkle with the additional 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese.
  9. Serve immediately.
