A great side dish or salad recipe that my mother used to make. Even the pickiest people who dislike sauerkraut like this salad.

Ingredients
  • 1 onion; chopped
  • 1 pepper; chopped
  • 2 Cups sugar (*see note)
  • ¼ Cup oil
  • ¼ Cup pimentos
  • 1 Cup sauerkraut

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. NOTE: Start off with 1 to 1 ½ cups sugar and add more if needed.
