Poppy Seed Cake Recipe
This recipe dates back to college days. I've been making it since then and still love it.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 (14oz) can evap. milk
  • 1 jar (12 oz) poppy seed filling.

Directions
  1. Mix the flour, sugar, oil, eggs, vanilla, salt, baking soda and milk until smooth.
  2. Add the poppy filling. Beat well at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr. 10 minutes in a 10 inch angel food tube pan.
  4. Do no grease the pan.
  5. Cool before removing from the pan.
