Ingredients
  • 3 slices bacon cut in 1 inch strips
  • 2 lb round steak cut in 1/2 inch strips, then 1 inch pieces
  • 2 onions peeled and thinly sliced
  • 5 carrots peeled and thinly sliced
  • 4 large potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 2 T water

Directions
  1. Line bottom of skillet with bacon strips.( I use an electric skillet)
  2. Put steak on top of bacon,
  3. Add salt and pepper.
  4. Add layer of onions, then carrots, then potatoes.
  5. Sprinkle with water.
  6. Cover and cook on High until steam rises--this only takes about 5 minutes.
  7. Keeping covered, turn heat on Low (I use 325 on electric skillet) and cook 45 minutes.
