How to make it

  • Dissolve lime jello in 3/4 cup boiling water.
  • Add 1/2 cup cold water, set aside at room temp.
  • Mix and bake cake as directed in a 9 x 13 cake pan.
  • Cool cake 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Poke deep holes down through top of the warm cake (still in pan)
  • Pour in the lime jello mixture.
  • Refrigerate the cake.
  • Prepare topping: In chilled bowl blend and whip topping mix, instant pudding and cold milk 3 to 8 minutes.
  • Frost the cake immediately. Keep this cake refrigerated.
