How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in mixing bowl.
  • Cut in butter until it resembles coarse meal.
  • Add 3 eggs (retain last egg for wash), almond extract and cream.
  • Stir to form soft dough (do not overwork dough).
  • Mix in the chocolate chips and almonds.
  • Turn dough out and pat until 3/4" thick.
  • Cut scones and place on baking pan coated with cooking spray.
  • Brush with the reserved egg.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Serve warm...Enjoy!
