Why Work Harder Than You Have To Chicken And Dumplings Recipe

Why Work Harder Than You Have To Chicken And Dumplings Recipe
I love chicken and dumplings. Since we both work, there's not always time to do it the old fashioned way, cooking for hours. This works for us!

Ingredients
  • 4 chicken boneless, skinless chicken breasts or tenders to equal
  • 3 cans Swanson's Chicken Broth
  • about a tablespoon of instant minced onion
  • about 1/2 tsp pepper
  • For Dumplings:
  • Bisquick recipe for dumplings, or your favorite biscuit recipe.

Directions
  1. Brown chicken in a bit of olive oil or butter, using a large skillet or dutchoven with a lid.
  2. You can either leave the chicken whole, or cut into bite size pieces, cover with the chicken broth, adding onion and pepper. Simmer until chicken is cooked through.
  3. When chicken is cooked, drop dough by spoonfuls into the broth, cover and cook for 10 minutes, then uncover and cook an additional 10 minutes.
  4. That's all there is, super easy.
