Ingredients

any flavor pie filling (9 oz. can)

1 (19-0z) can of crushed pineapple with juice

1 box prepared cake mix

1/2 cup butter

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:

1 cup coconut flakes and/or 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions

Lightly grease desired type of cake pan...

PLACE THESE INGREDIENTS IN THE PAN IN ORDER GIVEN--- DO NOT MIX.

1. bottom layer -- any flavor pie filling (9 oz. can)

2. pour over filling 1 (19-0z) can of crushed pineapple with juice

3. sprinkle evenly and flavor cake mix you like (1 box prepared cake mix)

4. melt 1/2 cup butter -- pour this over the cake mix

Bake this at 350*F approximately 45 minutes or until nicely browned.

Cool on rack.

Serve plain or with ice cream, or whipped cream.

This recipe was taken from an older cookbook I have, and was so tasty, I thought I would share it with you. :o)
