This is very good dough cookie that everybody likes I use more measurments to make more cookies

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 big tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons beer
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • Powdered sugar
  • I like to add 1 teaspoon of vanilla but my Mom never did

Directions
  1. Sift flour sugar and salt in bowl.
  2. Blend butter in flour.
  3. Beat egg yolks very well
  4. Pour in mixture
  5. Add sour cream and beer
  6. Mix until well blended
  7. Turn on floured board and knead until smooth
  8. Divided in 2 or 3 pieces
  9. Roll each piece thin
  10. Cut in 4 or 5 inch diamond shape
  11. Make a 2 inch slit lengthwise in the diamond and pull one end into the slit
  12. Sometimes I make them in 1 inch strips and cut the slit in the end to pull dough thro
  13. Fry in a large pot with very hot fat for about 1 to 2 minutes or until light golden
  14. Drain on a cookie rack or some people use paper towl
  15. When I give this recipe to my friends they say to use Crisco
  16. When cool sprinkle with white powder sugar
  17. This is called Ceregy and I know that other countries make them and have different name for them but is same
