How to make it

  • Boil sassafrasS roots for 30 minutes.
  • Then go on and strain them.
  • Get 2 cups of the sassafrass tea into a large saucepan.
  • Add the envelope of pectin.
  • Bring to just simmering.
  • Add the honey and the root bark.
  • Simmer for about 5-6 minutes.
  • Then put into sterilized glasses. If you are doing halfpints then boil for 5 minutes in hot water.
