Sassafrass Jelly

- Sassafras roots shopping list
- 1 package powdered pectin shopping list
- 3 cups honey shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sassafras root bark, (make sure you grind it real fine) shopping list
How to make it
- Boil sassafrasS roots for 30 minutes.
- Then go on and strain them.
- Get 2 cups of the sassafrass tea into a large saucepan.
- Add the envelope of pectin.
- Bring to just simmering.
- Add the honey and the root bark.
- Simmer for about 5-6 minutes.
- Then put into sterilized glasses. If you are doing halfpints then boil for 5 minutes in hot water.
