- 3/4 cup softened butter or shortening shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tbsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 tbsp milk shopping list
- 1 cup whole wheat flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 2 tsp allspice shopping list
- 1 tsp lemon zest shopping list
- 3/4 cup raisins shopping list
- 1/2 cup salted, dry-roasted chopped peanuts shopping list
- 1/2 cup dry-roasted, slivered almonds shopping list
How to make it
- Combine butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Stir in remaining ingredients, folding in the raisins, peanuts and almonds last. You may have to finish combining the ingredients with your hands.
- Shape into small balls and place on lightly greased baking sheets.
- Cover and chill 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Bake trays 10 minutes, rotating halfway through.
- Cool 5 minutes on sheets before removing to wire racks.
