Primadonna Sausage Cheese Chowder

- 1/4 c. unsalted butter shopping list
- 1/2 c. onion, diced shopping list
- 1 c. carrots, diced shopping list
- 1 c. celery, diced shopping list
- 1/2 c. green peppers, diced shopping list
- 1/2 lb. loose hot sausage shopping list
- and and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/4 c. flour shopping list
- 4 c. chicken broth shopping list
- 10 slices American cheese (Land o'Lakes) shopping list
- 1 t. paprika shopping list
- 1 c. milk shopping list
- 1 can corn, drained shopping list
- fresh parsley, minced shopping list
How to make it
- In a large soup pot, melt butter and saute all the veggies and sausage until the sausage is cook through.
- Season with salt and pepper, drain the oil from the sausage. Over medium heat, stir in flour and add chicken broth stirring until thickened. Add cheese, paprika and milk and stir until melted. Add corn and continue heat without boiling. Taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary. Serve with a sprinkle of parsley on top.
