How to make it

  • Heat oven to 450 degrees
  • Beat cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl with mixer until well blended.
  • Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Stir in 1 & 2/3 cups of the mini semi-sweet chocolate chips and pour into crust.
  • Bake 10 minutes.
  • Without opening oven door, reduce temperature to 250 degrees and continue baking for 30 minutes or until set.
  • Remove from oven to wire rack and cool completely.
  • Cover and refrigerate until thouroughly chilled.
  • Place remaining 1/3 cups chips and whipping cream in a small bowl and microwave 20 to 30 seconds until mixture is smooth when stirred.
  • Cool slightly and spread over top of cheesepie.
  • Drizzle caramel topping over the top and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
  • Refrigerate 15 minutes or until topping is set.
  • Cover and refrigerate leftover pie.
