How to make it

  • Heat the oven to 425*F.
  • Butter a 8x8" baking dish.
  • Cook sausage in a skillet over medium high heat, stir until no longer pink, drain.
  • Mix sausage and mixed vegetables in baking dish.
  • Mix broth and flour in a small bowl.
  • Pour over sausage mixture, stir to toss.
  • Cover and bake 45 minutes, until bubbly and slightly thickened.
  • Make potatoes as directed on pkg.
  • Stir in water, milk and butter, let stand 5 minutes.
  • Spoon onto sausage mixture.
  • Bake uncovered 12 minutes or until potatoes start to brown.

    katzilla ate it and said...
    I used bockwurst instead of pork sausage and it came out yummy. It was a bit watery but I think I didn't use enough veggies or too much potato.

    Ah! it is my Queen..lol...I thank you kindly for adding in the mixed veggies. I love sausage but restrict how often I have it. It's the "piggy fat" you know ha. ha. But this is a keeper. It's a 5+ here. Best to you and your hubby.

    Hi Lana,

    Thanks for the high 5er, it is very good to some times I will put canned drained mushrooms in this dish and a small onion to really bring out the flavor.
