Liver can make a wonderful dish when it is complemented by savory flavors. Try this one and just don't tell them what it is...bet they like it.

Ingredients
  • Chicken livers
  • apple smoked bacon
  • 1 full bulb of elephant garlic roasted
  • sweet onion rounds
  • olive oil

Directions
  1. Wash and dry livers usually one container of very very fresh livers
  2. Make sure you check the expiration date
  3. squeeze out the garlic in a bowl and mash
  4. add EVOO to the mash
  5. add livers and gently toss
  6. -------
  7. Oven on to 325d.
  8. ------
  9. on a cookie sheet covered with Release reynold's wrap place strips of bacon closely together
  10. on top of bacon place rounds of onions
  11. bake for 10 minutes on low rack
  12. remove from oven and add chicken livers
  13. Bake for about 20 minutes
  14. --------
  15. Serve with biscuits and fresh salad of cucs, carrots, broccoli and whatever you wish with your favorite dressing.

  18. when livers are prepared with garlic , wrap each one (or 2) in an piece of bacon and follow the recipe
