Simple M And M Cookies Recipe

Old M & M cookie recipe. Sometimes forgotten. Delicious. So easy, and children love these cookies!

Ingredients
- 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup Crisco
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 pound (1 cup) M & M's
- 2-1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
Directions
- Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla thoroughly
- Blend soda, salt and flour in small bowl, whisking to blend
- Add this to the creamed mixture
- STIR in M & M's
- Drop by teaspoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes
- Remove from sheet, place on wire rack to cool
