Brandied Fruit Sauce

- 2 packages (8-ounces each ) mixed dried fruits, coarsely chopped shopping list
- 4 cups apple juice shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup brandy shopping list
- 1/2 teasp. apple pie spice shopping list
How to make it
- in medium saucepan, combine the fruit, apple juice and sugar
- stirring occasionally, cook over medium-high heat until the mixture comes to a boil
- reduce heat to medium-low and simmer about 30 minutes or until the fruit is tender,,stirring occasionally
- remove from heat, add brandy and apple pie spice
- serve warm with ham
- makes 5 & 1/2 cups

- dried fruits are easier to 'chopped' by cutting them with kitchen shears
