How to make it

  • wash mushrooms and pull out stems
  • place mushrooms face down in a skillet
  • pour italian dressing and balsamic vinegar over mushrooms
  • make sure they are coated
  • saute for about 10 minutes on medium high
  • flip mushroom caps over and fill with feta
  • spoon some of the excess dressing over the filled mushrooms
  • saute for about 10 more minutes...reduce heat to medium
  • sprinkle parmesan cheese over the stuffed portion of the mushroom
  • spoon some more of the excess dressing over the mushrooms
  • turn on low and let cook for about 10 more minutes

    Thank you so much for the stepping stone. Sometimes its hard not to spin a recipe to your own, but I wanted to share my variation because it turned out to be a crowd pleaser. I added finely chopped spinach, real bacon bits, italian bread crumbs for texture to the filling and a douse of worcestershire sauce to the dressing for flava. I might have cooked it by oven at 350 for 20 minutes too...don't hate but thanks for giving me a starting place and don't stop creating!
