How to make it

  • Mix the flour and little water well .
  • Add water bit by bit , as less as possible and knead it to make dough .
  • Set aside for 45 mins .
  • Now add 2 cups of water and mix well
  • You will see the milk forming .
  • Separate the milk and set aside.
  • Slowly thicker version of milk will settle at the bottom .
  • Get rid of the thin milk which floats on top .
  • In a heavy bottom pan , add the milk, sugar and food color
  • Stir until it starts to thicken .
  • Add the ghee bit by bit , while stirring all the time .
  • Continue stirring .
  • Once the ghee separates from halva , add the cardamom powder and the nuts .
  • Pour on a tray and cool it abit .
  • Cut into pieces .
