Lovely Lemon Meringue Pie

- One can of low fat sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- One pie shell or gram cracker crust (I prefer the gram cracker crust) shopping list
- 3 eggs separated shopping list
- 3/4 cup of lemon juice shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar shopping list
- 1/3 cup of sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat your oven to 350
- Break and separate your eggs
- Take the egg yolks and beat them on low for a minute
- After, add in the sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice, then beat until mixed
- Pour this into the pie shell and set aside
- Next take the egg whites and put them in a cold metal bowl (this with help the air get into the egg), add the cream of tartar and whip until firm peaks form
- Slowly add sugar in to the egg white mixture while continuing to whip them
- When the sugar is mixed in and the meringue is firm put on top of the filling, making sure to get all the way to the edge
- put in the oven and bake for 13-16 minutes
- When done take out and cool it and then put it in the refigerator for 4 or more hours
