This Pie is an easy, old favorite of everyones. It's quick and easy and fun to make.

Ingredients
  • One can of low fat sweetened condensed milk
  • One pie shell or gram cracker crust (I prefer the gram cracker crust)
  • 3 eggs separated
  • 3/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar
  • 1/3 cup of sugar

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350
  2. Break and separate your eggs
  3. Take the egg yolks and beat them on low for a minute
  4. After, add in the sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice, then beat until mixed
  5. Pour this into the pie shell and set aside
  6. Next take the egg whites and put them in a cold metal bowl (this with help the air get into the egg), add the cream of tartar and whip until firm peaks form
  7. Slowly add sugar in to the egg white mixture while continuing to whip them
  8. When the sugar is mixed in and the meringue is firm put on top of the filling, making sure to get all the way to the edge
  9. put in the oven and bake for 13-16 minutes
  10. When done take out and cool it and then put it in the refigerator for 4 or more hours
