Root Beer Cookies

- 1 cup brown sugar (packed) shopping list
- ½ cup butter shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 teaspoon root beer extract or concentrate shopping list
- 1 3/4 cups flour shopping list
- ½ teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- ½ teaspoon salt shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 2 cups powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup butter shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon root beer extract or concentrate shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons hot water shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer combine the brown sugar, butter and egg until fluffy. Stir in the buttermilk, root beer extract, flour, baking soda and salt and mix until smooth.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonful, 2"" apart onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes. Immediately cool on rack.
- To prepare the glaze, combine the powdered sugar, butter, root beer extract and the water. Frost the cookies with the root beer glaze.
