Miso Marinated Grilled Eggplant

- 8 Japanese eggplants shopping list
- 1/2 cup miso shopping list
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup sake or dry sherry shopping list
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil shopping list
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoons lime or lemon juice shopping list
- 2 teaspoons black bean chile paste shopping list
How to make it
- Spray or rub grill with oil.
- Cut eggplants lengthwise and score each on cut side a few times with sharp knife.
- Combine remaining ingredients then coat eggplant and marinate at room temperature 2 hours.
- Grill eggplants over medium high heat 5 minutes per side then serve immediately.

Great recipe. Forgot wine at store and substituted rice vinegar instead and left out hoisin - not a fan. It turned out great. Also, used thai chili paste and a couple chopped chiles - cuz I like it that way. Thanks for sharing.
