They really are the best I've tasted. Simple recipe, with basic ingredients. My family has never tired of these easy-bake treats. Santa loves them too!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup shortening (I prefer butter)
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375'.
  2. Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
  3. Add eggs and blend.
  4. Combine in seperate bowl, flour, salt and baking soda.
  5. Combine both mixtures.
  6. Stir in Chocolate Chips.
  7. Drop by heaping spoonfuls, leave a few inches between.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes (chewy), or 11-13 minutes (crispy).
  9. Cool and enjoy (dipping in milk or tea).
